Jam and Honey

Jams and compotes are an important element of Modena tradition due to the cultivation of fruit deeply rooted in our territory.

 

The production of cherries in Vignola, a town in the Province of Modena, is famous all over Italy, but the Modena Apennines also offers a wide range of fruit that have found their natural transformation into excellent jams and compotes.
Fine Tastes of Modena offers a wide selection of unique jams and compotes made with traditional, forgotten fruits such as Corbella, also known as the Sorbus domestica or Service Tree, the Campanina Apple, Rosa Canina (Dog Rose), Nespole (Loquat) and Mela Cotogna (Apple Quince) or from more common fruits such as pears and cherries which are naturally grown and hand picked at the right time preserving their natural flavor.
The Modena Apennines with its rich vegetation, offers the basis for the production of fine honey such as Acacia, Chestnut and Millefiori which are well rooted in the tradition of Modena.
