Pesto Montanaro - SAP Salumificio Artigianale Pavullese
"Pesto Montanaro" is a traditional country product obtained by grinding pork fat and seasoned with fresh minced garlic and rosemary. "Pesto Montanaro" is very fragrant and has a distinctive aroma found in Frignano, an area in the Modena Apennines.
According to Modena tradition, "Pesto Montanaro" is an essential element when eating tigelle. A nice, hot tigella opened in half and spread with the "Pesto Montanaro", melting in the heat of the tigella with a generous sprinkling of Parmigiano Reggiano, is an unique experience. Try it!
"Pesto Montanaro" contains no preservatives, sugar, flour or artificial coloring. It is also gluten free. For this reason it has been certified by the Italian Coeliac Association and identified by the "red crossed grain symbol" on its packaging.
The addition of fresh ingredients such as rosemary, has an antioxidant effect and fresh garlic helps improve cardiovascular activity.
"Pesto Montanaro" should be kept refrigerated. We recommend taking it out of the refrigerator a half hour before use, so it will soften and become easily spreadable.
